Responsibilities:
- Assist with the management of the Service Desk and Change Management Systems (ManageEngine)
- Provide high quality, responsive and consistent resolutions to IT Incidents
- Work closely with vendors to ensure there is a coordinated approach to infrastructure support
- Maintain, monitor, and support the bank’s network, applications and infrastructure
- Carry out regular system health checks, vulnerability assessment and patching
- Integrate solutions with other applications and platforms based on business requirements
- Perform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management and hot fixes
- Perform capacity workload modelling and availability analysis for a variety of platforms and environments
- Develop, maintain, recommend, document and support tools and utilities to provide capacity planning and management
- Troubleshoot problems by analysing root causes and evaluating multiple options
- Evaluate future technologies and make recommendations for software and hardware upgrades
- Analyze and implement network, software and hardware changes
- Develop processes to ensure appropriate WAN, LAN, device privileges and access are granted, ensuring data integrity and security are achieved
- Ensure all necessary network security updates, patches, and preventive measures are implemented
- Support the day-to-day operations of the banks IT systems, network, and applications
- Maintain Windows server and Unix based servers, O365 and administer MS Azure
- Implement and maintain information security controls in line with ISO27001, NIST and DORA standards
- Support the Bank’s VMware and Citrix virtual infrastructure
- Maintain the bank’s Business Continuity and Disaster recovery plan and procedure
- Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Degree level in IT
- A minimum of 5 years Infrastructure, System, Network support experience
- Relevant certification such as CCNA, CCNP, MCITP, VCP, or CCA
- Banking/Financial sector experience is an advantage
- Very good VMware and Citrix administration experience
- Windows and Linux Servers administration and support skills
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- Experience in Public Cloud deployment and administration
- Experience in the following Applications – Flexcube, Oracle, Datastore, SWIFT, Calypso
- Strong knowledge of systems, software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including experience of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
- ISO27001 experience is an advantage
- Very good virtualisation, Active Directory, GPO, Access control and LAN/WAN experience
- Analytical thinker and problem solver with excellent organising, prioritising, and multitasking skills
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and task management skills
- Able to work with little or no supervision, even out-of-hours
This is a permanent position paying up to ÂŁ75,000 based on experience.
