Role Overview: The job purpose is to support the growth of the Bank’s Conglomerates team which is part of the Corporate Banking Department by providing client relationship, administrative, operational and analytical support to the Conglomerates team members with the aim to grow the client portfolio and deliver excellent service. In addition, the role will also focus on sign of quality liability and risk asset clients.
Role Responsibilities:
- Identify and sign on borrowing and non-borrowing client relationships, as well as manage and grow existing client relationships.
- Contribute to the overall growth of the Conglomerates.
- Support the preparation and processing of credit applications and other associated documentation for existing and potential loan facilities.
- Ensure a proper digital filing of all facility, transaction documents and client file.
- Ensure all designated customer credit files are up to date.
- Ensure good communication with other internal departments within Zenith Bank UK, as well as other Zenith Group subsidiaries.
- Conduct client visits and attend networking opportunities.
- Drive account onboarding for relationships that meet the Bank’s risk acceptance criteria.
- Prepare file notes and follow up on collection of KYC documents from existing and prospective clients to justify the onboarding of new quality relationships and to meet client update requirements by the Onboarding and Compliance teams.
- Prepare presentations and present the team’s performance at Monthly Performance Reviews.
- Corporate client conversion (borrowing and non-borrowing client).
- Attend marketing meetings, team meetings as well as departmental meetings.
- Ensure prompt escalation and resolution of customer complaints.
- Review and report irregularities in customer KYC, AML etc.
- Conduct and prepare daily account transaction reviews for the team to minimize operational risks.
- Support the Relationship team on call-backs relating to payments instruction.
- Attend to customer enquiries and engage with the respective internal teams such as Customer Services, Payments or IT when required.
- Respond to compliance enquiries related to customers' transactions.
- Drive the migration and conversion of customers from manual payments to internet banking.
- Respond to enquiries from other departments such as payments, trade finance and compliance.
- Take ownership of new clients onboarding process, complete existing client account reviews, and daily transaction monitoring.
- Assist in preparation of facility documentation, archiving and compliance related forms including those for account opening/closing, Loan Drawdowns, and setting up of new Facility limits, etc.
- Support the credit analysts’ team with all required information gathering, preparation of documents and completion of internal credit applications, including collecting and obtaining credit data and financial statements, country, and client information from the borrower.
- Take minutes of the team and departmental meetings as well as preparation of call reports relating to client engagements.
- Assist with regular reporting (pipeline, updates for ALCO, Exco reports).
- Track and prepare both liability and asset position, and loan maturities.
- Any other miscellaneous tasks that may arise in the course of the job.

Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Be self-motivated/work with minimal supervision.
- A strong commitment to living the Bank’s values.
- Strong Microsoft Office user (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A second language is desirable.
- Must be educated to a degree level.
- Minimum of two years’ work experience in either Banking or a Financial Institution.
- Strong KYC/KYB experience.
- Some experience in writing credit applications, preparing reports, etc.
- Some knowledge of trade finance transactions and products.
This is a permanent position, paying up to £55,000.00 based on experience.
