Description

About the Procurement Team: The available role relates to maternity cover and so is likely to last circa 9-15 months. The Procurement function oversees timely, cost-effective, and compliant sourcing of Energy, Water & Metering Contracts across Zenergi’s current and future client base.

Your new role: This role is one of the most important within the business, the retention of our procurement contracts is crucial to our success, therefore it is essential that we have someone at the helm that balances motivating, empowering and reinforcing best practice across the team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and guidance, ensuring workloads and priorities are managed efficiently whilst monitoring and maintaining strong activity levels, including client calls, e-mails and meetings across the team.
  • Maintain high Quality standards: You will drive for excellent client experience including timely, clear & consistent communication from across the team, accurate pricing and compliance is maintained at all times minimising any client impact and compensation claims.
  • Work Proactively – setting the team up to succeed: Ensuring that client allocations are always undertaken 12 months + in advance of their next renewal.
  • Client and internal SLA’s: Ensure that these are adhered to and we have a great reputation across clients and the business for responsiveness.
  • To Develop the team: You will be responsible for developing the talent of our customer success team through coaching, undertaking PDP’s, organising internal & external training events. It’s essential that your strategy encapsulates the development of the team to help them stay a step ahead of the competition and for them to feel like they’re continually learning within their roles. This will include but not be limited to regular weekly call listening and feedback sessions.
  • Build & strengthen relationships: with external suppliers and internal stakeholders, championing the great work that we do whilst showing empathy and a laser focused on mutual business success.
  • Reporting: You will track and report key performance metrics, providing regular updates on procurement KPIs (open renewals progress, successful contact, quality, communication activity levels, client losses & customer allocations).
  • Team meetings: own weekly and periodic team meetings/ gatherings/ social time to support a cohesive culture of sharing, learning, collaboration and helping to create a professional, fun and positive environment for the team.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • 3+ years of experience in energy or similar sector.
  • Proven capability to team lead with a demonstrable track record of developing great teams and holding those that do not meet requirements accountable.
  • Organised under pressure: To be experienced with handling multiple high priority requests in a fast paced environment and be able to consistently demonstrate a highly structured and organised approach, so nothing important ever gets missed and nobody, ever, has to chase you for an update.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive internal and external business relationships.
  • Flexibility: Willing to travel for team and customer meetings whilst also visiting offices to help build a great bond with colleagues across the business.
  • Analytical: Proficiency in analysing data and utilising software tools for reporting.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and delivering exceptional and consistent customer service through the team.
