Business Development Executive
Department: New Business – Energy Management Services

Reporting To: Commercial Director
Compensation: £27,000 – £30,000 / year
Description
Key Responsibilities
- Identification, development, and growth of new business by prospecting (cold calling) and canvassing potential new customers
- Support the new sales team in building an outreach plan to start the conversation with new prospects
- Achieve quarterly sales and activity targets
- Keeping accurate and detailed records of contacts made and results achieved within the sales CRM
- Maintain information and enhance the data set so we make better quality, informed contact.
- Achieve personal targets set alongside financial targets
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.
- Attend training and develop relevant knowledge and skills.
- Work with the Sales and Marketing function to design and implement strategic sales campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure initiatives are cohesive with the overall customer experience, supporting & informing, as necessary.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience in owning and delivering demand/lead generation activities and campaigns for a B2B solution.
- Demonstrable track record of hitting sales and activity targets
- Have a deep-rooted passion for delivering value to customers, and a proven track record of developing campaigns that drive a measurable impact on MQLs and the Sales pipeline.
- Can manage multiple stakeholders and prioritise a potentially large scope of work to ensure alignment with short, medium, and long-term goals.
- Have problem-solving, strategic and analytical capabilities, with an ability to run analysis, track metrics and optimise performance.
- Familiarity with HubSpot CRM, LinkedIn and digital marketing solutions, marketing automation platforms and tracking tools would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to create professional relationships to influence and collaborate across all levels – internally and externally.
