We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented technical engineer to join our Telecoms Infrastructure Design team. This role focuses on supporting the design and integration of AC and DC Electrical Systems within the telecoms environment, including mobile sites and critical network facilities.
Whilst an understanding of electrical systems is advantageous, training can be provided for the electrical aspects of the role. We are particularly interested in candidates with strong technical aptitude and experience using CAD software, who are looking to develop their expertise within telecoms power infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design and review of AC and DC Power Systems for Telecoms Infrastructure projects.
- Produce and update technical drawings using CAD Software (layouts, schematics, single-line diagrams).
- Support the development of:
- AC distribution systems (LV systems, UPS, standby generation).
- 48V DC telecom power systems (rectifiers, battery banks).
- Earthing and bonding systems.
- HND/HNC or Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience using CAD Software (e.g. AutoCAD or similar) to produce technical drawings.
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to develop knowledge of telecoms power systems.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings and technical drawings.
- Ability to work both independently and with a team environment.
- Exposure to telecoms infrastructure or critical power environments.
- Basic understanding of:
- 230/400V AC Systems.
- 48V DC telecom power systems.
- UPS systems and standby generators.
- Earthing and bonding principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Effective communications skills.
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a specialised technical field.
