We are seeking a skilled Telecom Surveyor to support our expanding telecommunications projects in Greater Manchester.
Job Overview
The Telecom Surveyor will conduct site surveys to support the planning, design and installation of fibre-optic networks (FTTP/FTTH) and telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring accurate data collection and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys for fibre-optic networks and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Assess underground and overhead infrastructure, including ducts, chambers, poles and cable routes.
- Identify suitable network routes, obstructions and installation requirements.
- Collect accurate measurements, photographs and GPS data.
- Prepare survey reports, route plans and technical documentation.
- Support Openreach PIA surveys and infrastructure assessments.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers and project managers to support project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and project deadlines.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in telecommunications surveying or fibre network infrastructure.
- Good understanding of FTTP/FTTH networks and telecom infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Openreach PIA requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and network plans.
- Experience with GPS equipment and digital survey tools is desirable.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to project sites.
- Full UK driving licence.
