Contract: Permanent

Reports to: Head of UK Operations

Experience: 1 year or more of UK telecoms survey experience

Casado Design is a specialist telecoms design company that also works on town planning and renewable energy projects. Our surveyors gather site information that our 2D AutoCAD technicians turn into planning and detailed design drawings for a wide range of clients. Most of our projects are turned around within a single working day, so accurate, complete surveys are vital. Quality matters to us: every job goes through a structured QA check, and we track performance so we can keep improving.

Key responsibilities:

  • Carry out detailed surveys of rooftop, streetwork and greenfield telecoms sites across the UK
  • Record accurate measurements of existing structures, equipment, antennas, cabinets and cable routes
  • Take clear, complete site photos to our photo schedule and client requirements
  • Produce marked up sketches and survey notes the design team can draw from without a revisit
  • Record access arrangements, site constraints and health and safety hazards
  • Follow site access procedures, permits and risk assessments (RAMS) at all times
  • Upload survey packs on the day and answer design team queries promptly
  • Liaise with site providers, landlords, clients and project managers to arrange access
  • Plan routes and schedules to make the most of each day in the field
  • Look after survey equipment, PPE and any company vehicle

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience surveying UK telecoms sites (this is essential; applications without UK telecoms survey experience will not be considered)
  • Good understanding of telecoms site equipment, such as antennas, RRUs, cabinets, feeders, power and steelwork
  • Confident using survey tools, such as laser measures, tape measures and digital cameras
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays
  • Comfortable working at height and outdoors in all weathers
  • Excellent attention to detail and a clear understanding of why accurate surveys matter to the design team
  • Able to work independently and manage your own daily schedule
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work from our Manchester or Bristol office when not on site

Desirable skills and certifications:

  • Rooftop access and working at height training (training can be provided for the right candidate)
  • CSCS card
  • First aid at work
  • Mobile operator site access passports or inductions
  • RF awareness training
  • Experience surveying for town planning or renewable energy projects
  • Basic AutoCAD knowledge or experience producing site sketches

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary, depending on experience
  • Permanent, full time position
  • Company vehicle or mileage allowance, plus expenses for overnight stays
  • PPE and survey equipment provided
  • Funded training and certifications, including rooftop access
  • Varied telecoms, planning and renewables work for a range of clients
