We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our team. This role is primarily office based, with regular site visits to conduct surveys and assessments. The successful candidate will play a key role in support structural design, analysis and evaluation projects, particularly within the telecommunications sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural assessments and site surveys for telecoms infrastructure (e.g. Masts, rooftops, towers and support structures).
  • Prepare structural calculations, reports and technical drawings.
  • Assess load-bearing capacity and structural integrity in line with industry standards.
  • Provide design solutions and recommendations for reinforcement or remedial works.
  • Collaborate with project managers, surveyors and clients to deliver projects efficiently.
  • Review technical documentation and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
  • Attend site visits as required to carry out inspections and collect data.
  • Support project delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Full, valid driving licence (essential).
  • Strong interest in structural surveying and site-based assessments.
  • Knowledge or experience within the telecommunications industry is desirable.
  • Understanding of structural analysis principles and relevant design standards.
  • Proficiency in structural design software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and report writing skills.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively in an office-based environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience assessing telecom structures such as monopoles, lattice towers or rooftop installations.
  • Familiarity with UK design standards (e.g. Eurocodes).
