Hi, I'm Ahmed, VP of Marketing at Zen Educate. I'm looking for an ambitious, high-energy Events Marketing Executive to help build our events engine from the ground up. This role is about scaling our presence at key UK conferences and hosting bespoke events that create lasting impact. You'll work directly with me to execute a strategy that will increase our event volume and impact. You'll be the bridge between our marketing vision and our sales leaders across 10 UK regions, communicating with stakeholders, coordinating needs, and ensuring flawless execution.

Core Values and Expectations

  • Execution: take ownership, identify problems early, and move quickly.
  • Radical Organisation: love checklists and detailed project plans.
  • Roll-up-the-sleeves attitude: no task is too small; you're comfortable with both strategy and logistics.
  • Hunger to Grow: curiosity and a desire to solve problems, not just identify them.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Coordinate and collaborate: act as a point of contact for sales leaders in 10 regions and support local events.
  • Manage the invite-to-attendance funnel, driving client interest and ensuring full, relevant audiences.
  • Support marketing to maintain top-tier event branding and messaging.
  • Handle end-to-end logistics: venue sourcing, catering, kit shipping, guest lists, and on-site support.
  • Ensure every event runs smoothly through meticulous preparation and on-site execution.
  • Help 5× our event output, moving from a few key dates to a consistent, high-frequency engine of activity.
  • Work with senior management to execute the national events strategy and create a playbook for conferences and private events.
  • Identify high-impact guest speakers and manage those relationships.

Why This Role Is Unique

  • Ground-floor opportunity: shape our events strategy from scratch.
  • High visibility across marketing, sales, and 10 regions.
  • Huge growth potential: as events become a major channel, so does your career trajectory.
  • Mission-driven impact: help more schools and educators achieve better outcomes.

Execution & Theory

  • You're a doer who delivers finished results.
  • Scarily organized: every detail is accounted for.
  • Love the energy of events and people.
  • Problem-solver who remains calm under fast change.
  • Finds work at an impact-focused company rewarding.

What Won’t Work Here

  • Creative-only focus: spending the day mood-boarding but avoiding logistics.
  • Need for constant hand-holding: this fast-moving team requires self-starter independence.
  • Averse to detail and checklists: we need focus on meticulous planning.
  • Perfectionist mindset conflicting with our pace of 5× output.

Interview Process

  • Intro call with the VP - explore your lifecycle experience and approach.
  • Business context interview - discuss collaboration and lifecycle marketing.
  • Task and review - complete a short event-focused task and discuss your approach.
  • Cultural interview - meet the team and discuss motivations and culture.

Perks & Benefits

  • Ownership opportunities in the company.
  • 25+ days of holiday (increases with tenure).
  • On-site gym, showers, bike parking & café.
  • Electric car & Cycle-to-Work schemes.
  • Coaching, life insurance & health insurance.
  • Fun-loving, mission-driven team culture.
