We are looking for a passionate, qualified, and enthusiastic Pre-School Manager to lead our lovely Pre-School room this coming September.
The Role
As our Pre-School Manager you will take the lead in creating a safe, stimulating, and joyful learning environment for a small class of just 12 pre-school aged children. You will work closely with a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Assistant within the room. Additionally, you will collaborate and plan directly with the Reception Teacher to ensure a seamless, cohesive transition for the children as they progress through the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Inspire: Oversee the daily running of the Pre-School room, ensuring a high standard of care and education.
- Collaborative Planning: Partner with the Reception Teacher to plan an engaging, play-based EYFS curriculum that prepares children for their next big step.
- Teamwork: Supervise and work adaptively alongside a full-time Early Years Assistant.
- Child Development: Monitor, assess, and record children’s progress, ensuring individual needs are met with warmth and encouragement.
- Parent Partnership: Maintain excellent, open communication with parents and carers.
About You
We are looking for someone who genuinely loves early years education and brings energy, wit, and warmth to the classroom.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (Level 4, Degree, or EYTS/QTS is highly desirable).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years proven experience working with pre-school aged children, ideally in a supervisory or senior practitioner role.
- Knowledge: A deep, working understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a collaborative team player mindset.
