Part time special needs teaching assistant We are currently looking for teaching assistants to work part time supporting a special needs school in Stroud on a flexible basis. This can either be working 2 or 3 days per week. The school caters to ages from 5 to 16 and will have needs such as severe autism and complex needs. The school fosters a lovely learning environment for both students and staff and many people that work there for Zen currently, have praised their time in the school. Working hours are 8:30-3:30 between Monday to Friday and term time only. We are looking for people that have experience in working with special needs, this can come from either a previous school job, or it can be from supporting adults with special needs in perhaps a care role. Duties include; – Supporting students on either a 1:1 or group basis. – Following instructions laid out by the teacher and other members of staff. You will also need to be able to work well in a team dynamic but also able to work well on your own. – Catering to both the welfare of the students but also ensuring they are engaged and on track with their learning onjectives. – Follow notes and instructions laid out but students education healthcare plan. – Be flexible to the needs of the school and having a hands on/can do attitude.
