Zen Educate is seeking an experienced and adaptable Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher for a full-time, long-term position at a highly regarded specialist school in Somerset. This role requires a dedicated professional ready to make a significant commitment to the school community. You will have full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, and marking, ensuring that every student receives a tailored and impactful education.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery: Planning and delivering creative, highly differentiated lessons that meet the diverse cognitive and sensory needs of the students.
  • Assessment & Marking: Taking full responsibility for tracking pupil progress against EHCP targets and providing meaningful feedback.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrating the ability to transition between different key stages or year groups, maintaining high standards of teaching regardless of the setting.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with Teaching Assistants, Therapists, and parents to provide a holistic support system for every child.
