Zen Educate is a technology platform to connect teachers with schools directly. 2Are you a special needs teacher assistant looking for your next post? Or are you a mainstream Teaching Assistant that is looking to move over into special needs? Zen Educate are currently working with a few special needs schools and alternative provisions and looking for teachers to take on either part time or full time work for longer term opportunities. This will be teaching students ranging from as young as 5 and up to the age of 18, depending on the class and the school. All the schools cover a wide range of special needs, including but not limited to ASC, SLD, MLD, SEMH, PMLD, ADHD. As a special needs teaching assistant you will need to have a understanding, calm and patient approach to your teaching practice. Requirements; – To support vulnerable children with special needs on a 1:1 basis, helping them both with the academic and social development – Work closely with other members of staff such as teachers, other TAs and members of senior leadership to ensure that children are making progress and their needs are being catered for – Follow the educational healthcare plan that has been set out – Manage behaviours where required with consistency, empathy and patience – Able to use support staff well and communicate what objectives you are looking for from them – Good communication skills with parents, and SLT in the school around student progress – Enhanced DBS…
