Zen Educate is seeking empathetic, resilient, and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join a specialist school in Salisbury. We have immediate openings for full-time or flexible part-time roles supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The Role: Building Trust and Supporting SEMH

You will be joining a highly supportive school environment that caters to pupils with complex SEMH needs and associated challenges. Your primary focus will be on building strong, trusting relationships with students to help them regulate their emotions and re-engage with their education.

  • 1:1 and Small Group Support: Working directly with pupils to help them access the curriculum and manage distress.
  • Behaviour Management: Utilizing de-escalation strategies and consistent boundaries to maintain a calm and structured environment.
  • Emotional Support: Acting as a mentor and reliable figure to students who require significant emotional guidance.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking individuals with a background that demonstrates an ability to connect with and support vulnerable young people:

  • School Experience: Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally supporting pupils with SEMH or behaviour needs.
