UK schools spend well over £2bn per year on covering short-term absences with supply teachers. The current model exclusively relies on agencies that are inefficient. We are consolidating this fragmented marketplace onto a digital platform, making a positive impact on teachers and schools. Zen allows them to reliably connect and focus on what really matters: our children!

As Zen’s MAT Sales Director, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Delivering on ambitious growth targets.
  • Diversifying the channels through which we initiate new relationships with MAT leaders.
  • Improving sales processes to shorten time-to-value and increase usage.
  • Collaborating with Marketing to effectively evangelise Zen Educate’s impact, solutions, and services with MAT and school leaders.
  • Ensuring your team’s efforts lead to long-term repeat usage.
  • Expanding the value proposition to MATs and schools through effective partnerships or service enhancements.
  • Informing Product development to ensure innovation solves the biggest problems for MAT leaders.
  • Building, training, and retaining a high-performing team.
  • Aligning sales efforts with company goals and priorities as they change throughout the school year.

What we are looking for:

  • Track record of owning and delivering on targets in a high growth environment.
  • A leader obsessed with maintaining a high-performance culture.
  • Experience with driving urgency in sales cycles with long lead times, to large organisations.
  • Experience managing a large volume of tender submissions and winning tenders.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with other teams in a usage-based sales environment.
  • Dedication to learning and training a team of driven sales professionals.
  • Excellent people skills for working with both our customers and teams at Zen.

  • Experience selling to schools and Multi Academy Trusts.
  • Prior knowledge of the UK education sector.
