Overview

Hi, I’m Ahmed, VP of Marketing at Zen Educate. I’m looking for an ambitious, high-energy Events Marketing Executive to help us build our events engine from the ground up. This role is about scaling and turning events into a major growth channel. You’ll work directly with the VP of Marketing to execute a strategy that aims to 5x our event volume and impact. You’ll bridge our marketing vision and the sales leaders across 10 UK regions. You’ll coordinate stakeholder needs and help us show up at events perfectly.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and collaborate: act as a point of contact for sales leaders across 10 UK regions to help coordinate the local events they want to organise.
  • Manage the invite-to-attendance funnel, drive client interest, and ensure the room is full of the right people.
  • Support the broader marketing team to ensure event branding and messaging are top-tier.
  • Handle end-to-end logistics: venue sourcing, catering, shipping kit, and guest lists.
  • Ensure every event goes off without a hitch through meticulous preparation and on-site support.
  • Help scale event output from a few key dates to a high-frequency engine of activity.
  • Work with the senior manager to execute our national events strategy and create a playbook for conferences and private events.
  • Identify high-impact guest speakers and manage those relationships.

What we value

  • Execution is everything: ownership, proactive problem solving with structure and pace.
  • Radical Organisation: strong project planning and attention to detail.
  • Roll-up-the-sleeves attitude: comfortable with strategy and logistics alike.
  • Hunger to Grow: a junior IC role with a massive ceiling; curiosity and problem-solving mindset.

What makes this role unique

  • Ground Floor Opportunity: core team member building the events channel from scratch.
  • High Visibility: work across marketing and sales in 10 regions.
  • Huge Growth Potential: potential for seniority as the channel grows.
  • Mission-Driven: contribute to helping more schools and educators.

What makes you a great fit

  • You believe execution > theory: you’re a doer who delivers.
  • You are highly organised with a system for details.
  • You genuinely love the energy of events and people.
  • You are a problem solver who adapts quickly.
  • You care about working where the work matters.

What won’t work here

  • If you mainly like the creative part and dislike logistics.
  • If you need hand-holding; we’re a fast-moving team and need a self-starter.
  • If you’re a perfectionist who resists momentum and quick context-switching.

Hiring process

We move fast and respect your time. Our interview process has 3 stages, with all interviews in a stage scheduled concurrently. We aim to respond within 36 hours after a stage completes.

  • Stage 1: Recruiter call to verify basics (compensation, benefits, availability).
  • Stage 2: Intro call to discuss experience and approach, plus a business context interview with a senior leadership team.
  • Stage 3: Task and review, followed by a cultural interview.

Perks & Benefits

  • Ownership in the company
  • 25+ days of holiday (increases with tenure)
  • On-site gym, showers, bike parking & café at our Central London office
  • Electric car & Cycle to Work schemes
  • Coaching, life insurance & health insurance
  • Fun-loving, mission-driven team
