We are seeking a confident, adaptable, and proactive Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team. This role involves delivering high-quality classroom supervision across a range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher. The successful candidate will also provide general support across the school, contributing to a positive and purposeful learning environment.
As part of the role, we require a male member of staff who is able to support boys’ Physical Education lessons on occasion, offering practical assistance and maintaining a safe and structured setting during PE activities.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom Cover
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task with pre-prepared work.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations.
- Provide clear instructions and maintain positive learning routines.
- Record attendance and provide feedback to teaching staff as required.
- Offer in-class support to teachers, working with individuals or small groups when needed.
- Assist with administrative or organisational tasks to support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Help maintain a calm, supportive, and inclusive learning atmosphere.
- Provide occasional support in boys’ PE lessons, including setting up equipment, supervising activities, and promoting student engagement.
- Ensure safety procedures are followed and encourage positive participation.
