Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Chemistry lessons to GCSE standard, ensuring all students receive an engaging and personalised learning experience.
- Plan and implement a stimulating Science curriculum that supports academic progress and develops students’ understanding of scientific concepts.
- Differentiating lessons effectively to meet the needs of all learners, including students with SEND and varying abilities.
- Monitor, assess, and track student progress, using data to inform planning and raise attainment.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes excellent behaviour, respect, and a love of learning.
- Contribute to the wider Science department, collaborating with colleagues to share best practice and raise standards across the faculty.
- Support students’ social and emotional wellbeing, helping to create a safe and nurturing school culture.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, school events, and extra-curricular activities.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
