Are you currently working with adults in special needs in a care setting but the hours are too long? Looking for something to transfer your skills over? Zen Educate will have the answer for you. We are currently looking for people to take on long term work in special needs schools working with children with additional needs. This will be on either a full time or part time basis depending on what it is you are looking for. Working hours are 8:30-3:30 and term time only Monday to Friday. Children being supported would be diagnosed with a range of needs such as autism, down syndrome, PMLD, SLD and cerebral palsy among others. Requirements; – To support vulnerable children with special needs on a 1:1 basis, helping them both with the academic and social development – Work closely with other members of staff such as teachers, other TAs and members of senior leadership to ensure that children are making progress and their needs are being catered for – Follow the educational healthcare plan that has been set out – Manage behaviours where required with consistency, empathy and patience – Be open to personal care or toileting help for children that require it – Be flexible to the needs of the school and also be a reliable member of the team – Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain a new one There are great special needs schools that Zen currently work with and children that would absolutely benefit from the care experience you can bring.
