We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support educators in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. The successful candidate will work closely with children, including those with special educational needs, to facilitate their academic and social development. Duties
- Provide personalised support to a Year 3 pupil with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met in accordance with school policies and the pupil's Education, Health and Care plan.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Assist in the implementation of tailored learning activities, using BSL or Makaton to facilitate effective communication and participation.
- Support children with autism, SEN, or behavioural challenges to promote participation and learning.
- Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to children with special educational requirements.
- Help organise classroom activities, resources, and materials to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Foster positive behaviour and social interaction among pupils by modelling appropriate conduct.
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during school hours.
