Currently we’re seeking a Global Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with a strong operational and business-driven mindset, who will act as a core member of the Management Board and a true partner to the CEO in scaling an international fintech, payments, e-commerce group. This role goes beyond traditional financial stewardship. The CFO will use finance as a growth engine, actively shaping strategy, optimizing performance, and unlocking value across the organization, while ensuring financial stability and regulatory excellence in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.
As an Operational CFO, you will take full, independent ownership of the Group’s finance function — from strategy and performance to liquidity, capital, and regulatory responsibilities. You will operate inside the business, not alongside it, translating data into decisions and decisions into measurable outcomes. You will work closely with the CEO and Management Board to drive international growth, improve unit economics and support business transformation at scale.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a strategic and operational business partner to the CEO and Management Board, providing forward-looking insights that directly influence growth, profitability, and capital allocation decisions.
- Own end-to-end financial leadership of an international, regulated group operating across fintech, payments, and e-commerce.
- Design and lead Group-level financial planning, forecasting, and performance management, with a strong focus on scalability and value creation.
- Drive optimization initiatives that improve cash flow, margins, and operational efficiency, treating optimization as a lever for growth, not risk avoidance.
- Monitor financial performance, identify key drivers and variances, and actively propose corrective and improvement actions.
- Support international expansion and new business initiatives by evaluating new markets, products, and partnerships from a strategic and financial perspective.
- Oversee financial consolidation, management reporting, and regulatory reporting across jurisdictions.
- Establish and evolve global accounting standards, financial control frameworks, and data-driven decision processes.
- Take responsibility for capital adequacy, liquidity management, and safeguarding of client funds, ensuring both regulatory compliance and business flexibility.
- Lead financial and regulatory audits and maintain effective relationships with regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Treasury, Product, Technology, and Commercial teams to embed finance into daily business operations.
- Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance leader in a high-growth environment (fintech, payments, e-money, or large-scale e-commerce).
- Strong background in managing international groups, including consolidated reporting and multi-jurisdictional operations.
- Deep understanding of financial regulation, capital and liquidity requirements, and client fund safeguarding — combined with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated ability to use financial insights to drive operational and strategic decisions, not just report outcomes.
- Experience working with regulators, auditors, investors, and senior executive stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in complexity, ambiguity, and fast-paced growth environments.
- Fluent English.
