The Role

You’ll lead Zempler’s customer understanding, brand and direct acquisition agenda bringing clarity to who our customers are, what they need, and how we reach them.

You’ll own how we translate insight into action shaping our target segments, building a compelling market presence, and driving efficient acquisition (primarily for our Business Current Account, while supporting broader product growth).

This role is about connecting the dots across insight, brand and performance ensuring everything we do is commercially focused, customer-led and joined up.

We’re proud to offer one of the most flexible hybrid models in the industry. For this role, we ask for a minimum of one day per week in our London office, with flexibility around the rest.

What you’ll be doing

Customer insight, brand & sector growth

  • Build a clear, evolving understanding of our target customers, sectors and markets
  • Translate insight into segmentation, targeting, messaging and go-to-market strategy
  • Strengthen Zempler’s brand in the markets we want to be known in balancing impact with cost efficiency
  • Shape campaigns, narratives and shared marketing assets grounded in real customer understanding
  • Define and lead our direct acquisition strategy, with a focus on Business Current Account growth
  • Set campaign direction, channel investment and performance measures to improve ROI and conversion
  • Ensure campaigns, content and partner routes are aligned to customer segments and commercial priorities
  • Own the journey from awareness through to application, partnering closely with Customer Experience on conversion and onboarding

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with Product to align insight and acquisition with product priorities, pricing and roadmap
  • Partner with our Partnerships team to ensure a joined-up approach across direct and indirect channels
  • Collaborate with Strategy & Customer Communications to ensure brand consistency and reputational strength
  • Align closely with Customer Experience to ensure what we promise matches what we deliver

Leadership & governance

  • Lead a high-performing team with clear priorities and a strong test-and-learn mindset
  • Ensure all activity operates within regulatory expectations and risk appetite
  • Build capability across the organisation in customer insight and growth thinking

What we’re looking for

  • Proven leadership in brand, customer strategy or growth marketing (ideally in financial services, fintech or another regulated environment)
  • Deep expertise in segmentation, targeting and positioning, with the ability to bring a “living” customer view to life across a business
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset with a track record of driving profitable growth
  • Hands-on experience shaping campaigns from insight through to execution
  • Comfortable influencing across a matrix environment and working with senior stakeholders
  • A natural storyteller able to turn complex insight into clear, compelling messaging
