About the Role
Design at Zelt is not a downstream function. It sits at the centre of how we make product decisions — working alongside Engineering and Product from the earliest conversations about direction, not just execution.
This is a role for someone who finds equal satisfaction in untangling a complex workflow and sweating the final pixel. You will own features end to end — from early concepts through to polished UI and launch — and typically see your work reach real users within weeks. Beyond core product design, there is exposure to broader visual and brand work: product visuals, lightweight motion, marketing creative. It is a role that combines product thinking, UI craft, and visual storytelling.
As part of a lean team, the person joining now will have visible impact on both the product experience and the evolution of Zelt's design identity as we continue to scale internationally.
What You'll Do
- Design elegant, user-friendly interfaces for new and existing product features across web and mobile
- Turn complex HR and payroll workflows into intuitive experiences — making the hard stuff feel obvious
- Drive features through the full design lifecycle, from early concepts and wireframes to final UI and launch
- Build and maintain scalable component libraries and style guides in Figma
- Raise the bar on consistency and usability across the platform as it grows
- Support product launches and campaigns through landing pages, product imagery, and visual assets
- Use AI tools (Claude, Gemini, HeyGen and others) as real collaborators in your ideation and creative workflow
- Participate in user feedback and usability discussions to continuously sharpen the product experienceContribute to the evolution of Zelt's visual identity across product and marketing touch points
Your Profile
- A strong portfolio showing UI design work across web and/or mobile products — we want to see your taste and how you think, not just polished end results.
- 3+ years of experience in Product Design — through full-time roles or internships. B2B SaaS experience is a plus.
- Strong UI fundamentals: a sharp eye for clean, modern design, genuine curiosity about best practices and trends, and the drive to keep developing your visual awareness.
- Fluency in Figma and a natural inclination toward scalable, component-based thinking.
- Solid understanding of UX principles and how to advocate for the user in cross-functional conversations.
- Comfort working with AI tools as part of your day-to-day workflow — this is a must.
- A collaborative, direct communication style — you work well with Product and Engineering and can make your design rationale clear without a lengthy presentation.
- Comfort with ambiguity and fast-moving priorities.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
What would make you stand out
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator or other graphic/visual design tools (we occasionally need support with event materials)
- A background in graphic design
- Frontend experience (HTML/CSS or similar)
