We believe that businesses of all sizes deserve better financial and payment products and services. Traditionally, businesses are let down by slow applications, protracted onboarding, opaque pricing, restrictive contracts and outdated solutions that no longer meet the innovative requirements of modern business. We started our journey four years ago and have since helped tens of thousands of Australian businesses reduce the complexity and time taken to take and make payments, manage complex fleets of payment hardware, store and save money, and lead the conversation in business-to-business fintech. We’re now expanding our industry and world-leading capabilities into the United Kingdom.
Our company is backed by leading global VCs and brings together experienced payment and tech industry professionals who are aiming to redefine business banking and the way businesses get paid by their customers. If you are passionate, curious, hungry and seeking an opportunity to make your mark on Fintech in the United Kingdom, with the strength of a global team behind you, we’d love to talk to you. This is a unique opportunity to shape, direct and build better financial services for all UK businesses.
Zeller is searching for the founding members of our UK-based sales team. As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be joining from the get-go to help qualify inbound leads, supplement sales pipeline with outbound lead generation, and contribute to building a high-performing team culture. As a BDR, you are the first person to speak with a potential Zeller merchant on inbound phone calls, web forms, and outreach to Marketing Qualified Leads. You’ll conduct an efficient yet detailed discovery of their business — learning their goals, pain points and priorities, to identify if Zeller is a right fit for their needs before the lead is qualified and passed to an Account Executive to close.
To be successful in this role you must be able to understand the diverse business needs of our merchants on the fly. You’ll become an expert in everything from payments to technology, and build a deep understanding of the issues that matter to UK SMEs. You’ll use your convincing personality and passion for winning to raise the bar of success, documenting meeting notes in detail. In addition, you’ll spend your time proactively prospecting and connecting with businesses who are the right fit for Zeller’s payment solutions. This is an exciting, entry-level position to join a fast-paced, rapidly growing Sales team, that is ideal for a motivated and persistent self-starter who isn’t afraid of ambiguity in execution.
You will bring a background in customer-facing roles, either as a Customer Success specialist, Customer Support representative, or in face-to-face sales in a retail or consultative-selling environment. We’re excited to meet people ready to join us and help establish Zeller as one of the UK’s most exciting new B2B fintechs.

- Schedule meetings and calls between qualified merchants and Zeller Account Executives, ensuring to always deliver a warm handover.
- Research and identify market gaps and opportunities to accelerate Zeller’s growth, then construct comprehensive and detailed lead lists targeting these growth areas.
- Stay up-to-date with UK SME, technology, payments, competitor and business trends that are relevant to Zeller’s merchants.
- Be an amazing team member and colleague to help build and solidify the new sales team culture for Zeller in the UK.
