About the job: You will work in the wider community to provide individual therapeutic support for children affected by domestic abuse, to support mothers, and organise a range of play activities and outings. You will also be ensuring that relevant child protection and data collection procedures are followed.

Our client is looking for an experienced children's therapist (or Art/Play therapist) who is enthusiastic, proactive and creative. You will have a relevant therapeutic qualification and experience of working with children, possibly including running groups. You will be passionate about the idea of supporting children and young people to come to terms with their experience of domestic abuse. Knowledge and understanding of domestic violence is also essential.

Salary: £30K per annum pro rata 21 hours per week

Location: Barnet

You will benefit from a very supportive working culture, a flexible working environment with the option to work part-time remotely.

This service is run by women for women and is therefore restricted to women applicants under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, and Part 1. Section 7(2) e of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 apply. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An enhanced DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) disclosure will be required for this role.
