ZEISS is currently establishing a new independent company dedicated to the Hunting & Nature business area. Recruitment for this position will be managed by ZEISS, and the successful applicant will enter into an employment contract with the newly established independent company.

Position Summary

We are looking for a UK and Ireland Marketing Manager to lead the marketing function for the local region, with responsibility for strategic and operational G2M campaigns, promotions, and trade marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Local marketing planning and campaign execution
  • Adaptation of global marketing campaigns to local market requirements, taking into consideration target audiences, positioning and local messaging.
  • Develop marketing plans with specific objectives across the hunting and nature categories – defining plans for different marketing channels and segments to help achieve sales targets and drive growth.
  • Execution of cross-channel campaigns (press, events and local media), to support promotional and campaign activity.
  • Establish relationships with relevant media to maximise opportunities including product reviews and PR stories.
  • Collaborate with the global team to plan and execute digital and email marketing activity as part of overall local campaigns.
  • Work with external agencies to adapt global campaign assets for local requirements, considering message, content and formats.
  • Define KPI’s and analyse campaign performance to ensure all activity is optimised.
  • Ensure the brand guidelines and strategy are adhered to through all communications.
  • Exhibitions/Events
  • Responsibility for concept, planning and execution of local exhibitions in the Hunting and Nature segments, in coordination with the Trade Fair Manager Germany.
  • Support the sales team in local customer-related events including promotional material, flyers and advertising.
  • Trade marketing
  • Counterpart for Global Marketing on POS management with a focus on regional implementation, steering coordination of requirements and optimization/updating.
  • Support the sales team with ad hoc requirements to support in-store and online sales.
  • Communication with retailers regarding new product releases and promotional activity through email marketing.
  • Merchandise and print management for the region.
  • Social Media
  • Execution of local social media activities based on the global strategy (shared ownership), collaborating with global teams and using systems for approval of content.
  • Budget responsibility
  • Manage the local marketing budget, aligning with the global team for support on events and global campaigns.
