This is a fantastic opportunity to join ZEISS on a 12-month internship where you will gain exposure to different areas of the business, work with a variety of stakeholders, and support real continuous improvement projects that make a genuine impact.
What you’ll be doing:
- Engage with different teams across both businesses to understand current ways of working and key challenges.
- Map and document existing processes to create clear, structured process flows.
- Identify inefficiencies, gaps and improvement opportunities within current processes.
- Facilitate collaboration between teams to align on best practices and consistent approaches.
- Support the development and implementation of process improvements.
- Analyse quality and operational data to identify trends and support improvement initiatives.
- Develop dashboards and visualisations (e.g. Power BI) to track performance and key metrics.
- Support the definition and alignment of KPIs across departments and sites.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure improvements are practical, sustainable and adopted.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the business.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or currently studying towards a degree. Placement year students, postgraduates seeking industry experience and recent graduates are all encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in process improvement, quality and operational excellence.
- Curious mindset and a desire to understand how things work.
- Confident communicator who can engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and topics.
- Organised, proactive and able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Basic understanding of data analysis and visualisation; Power BI knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Interest in engineering and manufacturing environments.
- Comfortable working with process maps and flowcharts.
