As a Marketing Intern for ZEISS UK & Ireland, you will support the Marketing team in delivering day-to-day priorities, contributing to clearly defined projects across Brand, Product and Trade Marketing (including channel marketing activities, product launches, B2B, B2C and B2B2C initiatives, campaigns and communications), as well as Digital Marketing (digital platforms, digital and social campaigns, and always-on activity). In this role you will learn how marketing activity drives business impact, build core marketing knowledge and hands-on experience, and develop a strong foundation in effective ways of working and customer-focused execution. You will be part of a supportive, collaborative and friendly team.

Responsibilities:

  • Channel Marketing Activities: support the team to deliver trade marketing initiatives for our commercial team across the channels we operate in, including our network of ZEISS Partner Eye Care Professionals ‘ECPs’ (UK & Ireland Independent Opticians), and key accounts: Boots Opticians, Scrivens, Bayfields, Cubitts, Costco.
  • Product Launches: support the team to deliver executional excellence in launching products to market.
  • B2B, B2C and B2B2C initiatives, campaigns and communications: support the team to plan and deliver initiatives that are B2B, B2C, and B2B2C.
  • Using CRM system (SalesForce) to track activity, review & update customer data.
  • Digital Marketing (ZEISS digital platforms): support the team to plan and deliver marketing initiatives across our digital platforms.
  • Digital Marketing (ZEISS digital and social channels): support the team with Social Media Management and Survey Management.
  • POS Stock Management: support the team to manage our Point of Sales POS inventory.
  • Project Delivery: the intern will have the opportunity to work on a project throughout the duration of the 12-month internship.

Education & Background:

  • Currently studying (or recently completed) a degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in marketing, demonstrated through studies, projects or extracurricular activities.

Marketing Knowledge & Awareness:

  • Basic understanding of core marketing concepts.
  • Confident using major social media platforms.
  • Comfortable working with digital tools and platforms; willing and able to learn systems such as content management tools, digital asset management or CRM.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with excellent attention to detail.

Organisation & Time Management:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Structured, reliable and able to follow through on agreed actions.

Collaboration & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Enjoys working as part of a team; able to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external partners.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software tools and online platforms.

Eligibility & Availability:

  • Eligible to work in the UK for the full duration of the 12-month internship.
  • Available to work full-time (Monday-Friday, office based, hybrid) from the specified start date.
