At Zego, we know that traditional motor insurance holds good drivers back. It's too complicated, too expensive, and it doesn't take into account how well you actually drive. That’s why, since 2016, we’ve been on a mission to change all of that. Our mission at Zego is to offer the lowest priced insurance for good drivers. From van drivers and gig workers to everyday car drivers, our customers are our driving force — they’re at the heart of everything we do. We’ve sold tens of millions of policies so far, and raised over $200 million in funding. And we’re only just getting started…
Purpose of the role
As Senior Pricing Manager at Zego, you will be a key leader within the pricing function, responsible for shaping and executing pricing strategy across products, markets, and customer segments. You will own complex pricing decisions end to end, balancing growth, profitability, and customer value, while ensuring pricing remains aligned with Zego's broader commercial and strategic objectives. Operating at senior manager level, you will act as a strategic partner to leadership, influence company wide decision making, and help scale pricing capability as Zego continues to grow in the UK and Europe. You will set direction, provide thought leadership, and raise the standard of pricing across the organisation.
What you will be working on
- Partner with the Head of Pricing and senior leadership to define and execute pricing strategy that supports growth, profitability, and long term value creation.
- Own end to end pricing for a portfolio of products or initiatives, from strategic design through to launch, monitoring, and optimisation.
- Lead pricing decisions for new propositions, market entries, and major commercial changes, ensuring clear rationale, governance, and alignment with business goals.
- Develop and evolve pricing frameworks, methodologies, and performance metrics that can scale with the business.
- Provide clear commercial insight and recommendations through data driven analysis, translating complex pricing outcomes into actionable decisions for non technical stakeholders.
- Work cross functionally with product, underwriting, finance, data, sales, and operations to embed pricing thinking into broader business processes.
- Act as a thought leader for pricing, challenging existing approaches, driving innovation, and raising pricing maturity across the organisation.
- Mentor and develop other pricing team members, contributing to capability building, best practice, and a high performance culture.
What you will need to be successful in the role
- Significant experience in pricing, commercial strategy, or revenue management, with demonstrated ownership of complex pricing decisions in a fast paced environment.
- Proven ability to operate at senior manager level, influencing leadership and driving outcomes across multiple stakeholders and functions.
- Strong commercial judgement, with the ability to balance growth, risk, customer value, and profitability.
- Advanced analytical capability and comfort working with data driven insights, models, and performance metrics, regardless of specific tools or languages used.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to simplify complexity and influence decision making at executive level.
- Experience building, scaling, or improving pricing frameworks, governance, or operating models.
- Demonstrated people leadership or coaching experience, with a track record of developing others and elevating team performance.
