At Zeelandia, we’re excited to be recruiting a Factory Officer to join our team. In this role you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving quality and safety of our food products and manufacturing processes through continuous improvements. The factory officer will work closely with all departments to identify continuous improvements through process audits and ensure improvements are driven by analytical data and fact finding.

Job requirements
Your job responsibilities:
To ensure hygiene, HACCP, food safety standards are maintained within the factory.
Proactively provide due diligence support across site ensuring procedures and site standards are maintained and in line with company policies.
Collaboration with the operations and QA to establish root cause and corrective action
Management of complaint systems, RCA, responses and close out of complaint
To implement and maintain standards of operations, maintenance and hygiene
Proactive approach to problem solving and working to resolution of root cause.
Quality control: Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, production processes, and finished products to ensure they meet the established quality standards and specifications.
HACCP implementation: Assist in the implementation and maintenance of hazard analysis and critical control points (HACCP) programs to prevent food safety hazards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up to date records of quality control activities, test results, and any non-conformities. Ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
Analysing data from minitab systems to determine trends.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, industry standards, company policies. Staying up to date with changes in regulations and industry best practices.
Training: Provide training to production personnel on processes, procedures food safety practices and hygiene standards.
Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with cross functional teams to implement corrective and preventative actions.
Supplier quality: Collaborate with procurement team to assess and monitor the quality of raw materials and ingredients from suppliers.
Audit and Inspection: Participate in internal and external audits, inspections and certifications related to food safety and quality.
Emergency response: Assist in developing and implementing procedures for product recalls and emergency response related to food safety incidents.
