We are currently recruiting seasonal production operatives for our Dayshift. The role of a production operative is to work as part of a team producing and packing products in an effective and efficient manner to meet production targets, meet agreed quality standards. Compliance with all company policies and procedures including food safety, work instructions, cleaning instructions and safe operating practices and health and safety.

Hours

Monday – Thursday 08.00 – 16.30

Friday 07.30 – 15.00

Responsibilities

  • Accurately complete production documents: recipe control, start-up checks, and process control checks.
  • Follow all recipes and verify raw material codes and presence of GRN labels.
  • Record and escalate any plant issues or downtime to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support maintenance of BRC Grade A certification by complying with all food safety standards.
  • Perform reasonable duties across departments as directed by managers or supervisors.
  • Support continuous improvement, waste reduction, and reduction in non-conforming products.
  • Adhere to departmental rules, regulations, and trained procedures.
  • Practice β€œclean as you go” and follow company cleaning schedules.
  • Comply with the Food Safety Act (1990) and relevant legislation.
  • Escalate equipment issues promptly to Supervisors, Managers, or Engineering.
  • Complete and submit all production sheets and documentation at end of shift.
  • Follow allergen handling procedures and report any spillages immediately.
  • Report quality or food safety issues related to raw materials, packaging, or finished goods.
  • Ensure recipe control and traceability throughout the manufacturing and packaging process.
  • Ensuring full compliance in food safety and health safety.

Experience

  • Experience in production, preferably in food production (not essential in food production)
  • Familiarity with food safety standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions precisely.
  • Strong Culture and work ethic
  • Comfortable working in a compliance-driven environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team under supervision.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality and prevent non-conforming products.
