Overview

We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer with Electrical Bias based at our manufacturing facility in Wigan to join our vibrant Engineering and Maintenance Team.

You will be working alongside a team of multi skilled engineers over a 3 weekly rotating shift pattern, with paid overtime, to support our colleagues with both planned and reactive maintenance and repair and upkeep of the facility.

The shift pattern is Monday – Friday and based on the below:

  • Week 1 06:00 – 14:00
  • Week 2 14:00 – 22:00
  • Week 3 22:00 – 06:00

Job requirements

  • The person we are looking for will be fully qualified in the electrical bias and ideally comes to us with a HNC or above.
  • Previous experience of working in food manufacturing (preferred)
  • Testing and inspection qualifications (2391 or 2394-5) (essential)
  • 18th Edition wiring regs (essential)
  • Strong PLC skills / control systems (knowledge of Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi) (preferred)
  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering i.e. pumps, pneumatics, and strong hand skills (essential)
  • Completed advanced apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical engineering (minimum NVQ level 3) Maintenance related ideally (essential)
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications (preferred)
  • Confined space trained (preferred)
  • IPAF trained (preferred)
  • Welding qualifications (preferred)

£40,000 – £42,000 per year
