The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.
We are currently a multiskilled maintenance Engineer. The role involves assisting in all engineering activities, liaising with the internal departments to carry out installation, testing, operation, maintenance and repair of all facilities and equipment at our Manufacturing site in Wigan.

Job requirements
- Perform reactive maintenance to minimise production downtime.
- Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on machinery and equipment (mechanical and electrical, if competent).
- Maintain site utilities, buildings, and support services in line with legal and safety standards.
- Support machine uptime by addressing faults, performing repairs, and completing maintenance tasks.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing engineering solutions.
- Support the installation of new equipment, as required.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and minimise disruption.
- Ensure all work meets Food Safety, Health & Safety, and Hygiene standards.
What We\βre Looking For:
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience that equates to working at competent level upon hiring.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A proactive mindset and a problem-solving approach.
- Willingness to support cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively.
