We are excited to be recruiting for a Senior Construction Engineer to join our newly formed Construction team in Global Field Services division. In this position you will oversee the safe and accurate installation of Zeeco combustion systems and thermal equipment across the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) region. You will provide on‑site technical leadership, support commissioning, and ensure all work meets engineering specifications, industry standards, and customer expectations.
Key responsibilities- Lead on‑site installation and construction activities for burners, flares, thermal oxidizers, and related systems.
- Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, safety rules, and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections, troubleshoot field issues, and coordinate solutions with engineering and project teams.
- Provide technical guidance, interpret engineering documents, and support design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, EN, API, and local regulations.
- Act as the primary on‑site technical representative and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Support commissioning activities, punch lists, and project handover.
- Coordinate daily work plans, construction sequencing, and resource needs.
- Review schedules, manpower, and material readiness to maintain project timelines.
- Support change management and technical clarifications.
- Degree in Mechanical, Construction, or related Engineering; equivalent industrial construction experience considered.
- Extensive construction engineering experience in process industries.
- Experience with boilers or fired equipment is a strong advantage.
- Proven supervision of construction at active industrial sites.
- Experience with boilers, fired equipment, or thermal systems preferred.
- Background in international or multi‑site industrial projects with customer interaction.
- Strong mechanical construction, piping, and equipment installation knowledge.
- Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Effective leadership and communication in multicultural environments.
- Strong field decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
- Familiarity with international construction standards and safety regulations.
- Willing to travel extensively across Europe and the Middle East.
This position is primarily office based when not on site (in our offices at Oakham), collaborating with Zeeco Engineering, project management and commercial teams. There will be frequent travel to client sites across EMEA (typically 50-70%).
