We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract for 4 months. This role offers the chance to work within a collaborative, supportive accounting environment, contributing directly to the preparation and review of financial statements for a diverse portfolio of Trusts and Companies. Key Accountabilities
- Client
- Ensure client expectations are managed effectively.
- Finalise financial statements within required deadlines.
- Commercial
- Take ownership of tasks and prioritise workload.
- Communicate clearly with line manager and third parties.
- Demonstrate good understanding of banking and accounting systems.
- Meet personal targets such as time recording and utilisation.
- Manage risk appropriately and elevate when required.
- Risk
- Prepare high-quality financial statements in accordance with relevant laws and GAAP.
- Support colleagues with technical queries and ad-hoc project work.
- People Management
- Build strong working relationships with Bookkeeping and Trust Administration teams.
- Work proactively to ensure timely completion of bookkeeping and resolution of queries.
Knowledge & Experience
- Professional & Technical Experience
- Experience preparing and reviewing Trust and Company financial statements (beneficial).
- Understanding of statutory requirements and UK GAAP.
- Ability to apply judgement and solve day-to-day problems.
