What We're Looking For
Are you ready to make an impact in our largest and most strategic vertical? We are expanding our expert Sales Engineering team to drive revenue and deliver cutting‑edge solutions to our retail customers. In this highly visible role, you will act as the primary technical point of contact for our customers, bridging the gap between pre‑sales and post‑sales. You will partner closely with Account Managers on a named account list, leveraging our broad product portfolio to influence sales, win business, and solve real‑world challenges in the fast‑paced retail sector.
This is a hybrid, field‑based role designed for those who thrive on variety and direct engagement. While you will enjoy the flexibility of working remotely, you will also attend our Bourne End office occasionally for team collaboration and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Account Managers to identify and qualify opportunities, progress deals through the sales cycle, and help close net‑new revenue.
- Act as the main technical point of contact for customers during the pre‑sales phase and serve as a smooth liaison for post‑sales execution.
- Conduct frequent customer visits, establishing trust and tailoring your communication to engage stakeholders at all levels—from operational staff on the floor to the C‑suite.
- Align with your AMs on a targeted named account list, focusing heavily on driving growth within the retail vertical.
- Engage in knowledge transfer and onboarding with your predecessor, who is still within the business, to ensure a smooth handover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Computer Technology degree highly preferred).
- 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably within a technology company.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a proven ability to tailor messaging to varied stakeholder levels.
- Strong background and domain experience within the Retail sector.
- Experience with Android platforms and familiarity with Zebra products/tools.
- Advanced domain and solutions knowledge, with the ability to adapt sales strategies effectively.
