Our site at Preston is one of seven manufacturing facilities across the globe with other manufacturing sites in the US and Holland. Here at our Preston facility we manufacture labels, tags, receipt papers and wristbands. Our customers print these products with barcodes to identify and track assets, places and people throughout their business. Our products are shipped to over 100 countries globally to customers operating in retail, health care, manufacturing and logistics industries. We also operate a repairs centre providing a quality repairs service to our customers.
POSITION PURPOSE
To convert quote details from draft through to final specification drawing for approval from the customer. Identify all requirements through the process of confirming suitability whilst maintaining production efficiencies. Order required tooling and load item master data and associated component item data onto relevant systems, including Bill of Materials, Routings and Sourcing attributes.
RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL
Position requires independent decision-making, with supervision from manager if necessary. The person is required to be flexible in their approach and interfaces with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- To provide a first class service both internally and externally on behalf of Sales, Production and Marketing.
- Interprets information supplied in order to carry out the duties efficiently and effectively.
- Organises purchase of dies for new and sharpening of existing dies and liaises with suppliers for price, delivery dates and quality of product.
- When sign off for a part is received, load item master data and associated component item data onto relevant systems, including Bill of Materials, Routings and Sourcing attributes.
- Produces CopyCard/Job Collation from nightly MRP orders.
- Checks and maintains Pending Move Errors to identify and react to transactional errors in the system.
- Job Bag Closure of all completed WIP orders.
- Follow ISO procedures/works instructions in place throughout the department.
- Perform any other duties as and when requested by management.

- Able to build and sustain solid working relationships within the business and work within own and other departments to achieve common goals.
- Excellent time management, planning & organizational skills along with good communication skills.
- Confident, enthusiastic – can do attitude, a team player.
- Well established analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- PC literate with good working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
