As Supervisor Operations, you will be managing employees and contract workers in operational area, making sure the progress of team is being monitored, any issues and escalations are dealt with, and you report any progress, wins and risks to the management.
Responsibilities:
- Manages employees and/or contract workers in an operational area.
- Is directly responsible for the hiring, onboarding, training, performance and engagement of the staff.
- Assigns daily work, monitors progress, engages to resolve obstacles to ensure KPIs are met.
- Collaborates with peers across shifts and functions to support optimized performance across the site/business.
- Intentionally engages to drive a culture of belonging, development, safety, continuous improvement and high performance.
- Models Zebra’s culture and values for the teams they lead.
- Compiles and analyzes operational data.
- Prepares reports for leadership that include proposals to address performance gaps in the team.
- Evaluates performance of subordinates, provides coaching and feedback to support success.
- Conducts performance appraisals and determines pay increases for direct reports in alignment with Zebra’s philosophies and practices.
- Partners with Human Resources to recommend personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and discipline.
- Participates or leads projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to plan and coordinate production activities under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and motivate people around you.
- Radius system knowledge (desirable).
- Oracle internal ordering and receipting.
- Smart Sheet Knowledge.
- Minimum 3+ years Warehouse Supervisor level experience essential.
- Maths and English GCSE/Functional Skills.
- Highly numerate with good understanding of written and spoken English.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Knowledgeable in people management practices including investigations, disciplinary procedure, and performance management and recruitment & selection processes.
- IT literate, Word, Excel, Outlook.
You will also need to be able to:
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Use trolleys or hand trucks to move items around.
- Go up and down stairs (where applicable).
- Complete overtime to help the team cover holidays and other instances.
