With a robust order book across the energy, industrial, and marine sectors, they are seeking a project-focused Production Engineer to drive their next phase of manufacturing excellence.
This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Production Engineer to transition into management, taking full ownership of projects with significant autonomy. In the role of Project Production Engineer, you will lead 'special-to-type' production projects. Sitting alongside a dedicated Production Manager (daily scheduling) and a Metrology & Sub-Assembly Manager (raw materials), you will form a streamlined leadership team driving production output.
Duties:
- Team & Stakeholder Management: Lead project-specific teams of Team Leaders and Operators while managing key stakeholder expectations.
- Resource Planning: Synchronise with Production Managers to allocate labour and materials, ensuring resource availability matches project priorities.
- Deadline Delivery: Create and manage production timelines to guarantee on-time project completion.
- Data Accuracy: Maintain up-to-date technical information and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for all 'special-to-type' projects.
- Internal Communication: Facilitate seamless workflow by liaising with Sales, Quality, and Logistics departments.
- Compliance & Inspection: Manage the end-to-end Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) process for clients and regulatory bodies.
About You:

- Engineering Background: Proven experience as a Production Engineer within a mechanical, electrical, or electronic 'Design for Manufacture' (DfM) environment.
- Project Leadership: A track record of managing production projects, specifically overseeing planning, scheduling, and strategic resource allocation.
- Quality & Compliance: Solid experience working within ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Technical Depth: A comprehensive understanding of modern manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
