The Company: This very successful engineering company designs and manufactures a range of low-volume, high-value safety-critical electromechanical industrial devices, sold globally to various industries, including the oil and gas and petrochemical markets.
The Role: With a strong order book, they are seeking a Production Manager to focus on delivering significant special projects. You will work alongside a Production Manager, responsible for planning and executing day-to-day scheduling, and a Metrology and Sub-Assembly Manager, responsible for processing raw materials and sub-assemblies.
Duties:
- Lead, supervise and coordinate a team of team leaders and operators assigned to specific projects
- Plan and allocate production resources, including labour, equipment and materials, in coordination with other production managers to balance workloads and align production priorities
- Create and maintain production schedules to meet project deadlines
- Ensure technical information and BOMs are up to date
- Liaise with sales, quality, production and warehousing and despatch
- Host and coordinate FATs with customers or third-party inspectors
About You: Reporting to the Operations Manager, you should have a good mix of the following skills and experience.
- Previous Production Management experience
- Experience with compliance to ISO 9001
- Experience managing production projects, including planning, scheduling and resource allocation
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
- Ability to lead and motivate production teams in a fast-paced environment
