A chance to be the go-to person for UX within the agency whilst working in a collaborative team, currently made up of digital designers and developers.

The client initially founded as a branding and design agency, over recent years they’ve focussed more so on digital, specifically with B2B clients but across a variety of sectors, including financial, pharmaceutical, bio-tech, real-estate and more. Much of their work is for corporate websites, consulting on branding strategy and business objectives before then designing brands, creating content and campaigns, developing websites, apps and technical solutions that help organisations connect with their stakeholders. Approx. 35 people strong (including an existing team of digital designers and in-house developers). Staff are required into their London office twice a week. Wednesday’s are their main day for everyone in. Sponsorship is not being offered.

The role involves being the lead-level UX Designer, helping direct the right processes and strategies amongst the wider team. They appreciate that although they’ve covered some elements internally, they need a true UX professional. The ideal candidate should have an appreciation for visual design but should be much more strategic, able to conduct user research, understand business objectives and deliver on things like information architecture, site audits, competitor reviews etc before moving onto wireframing and hand-off to digital design – although there would still be a lot of collaboration with the digital design team along with the developers. Commercial acumen and confidence with dealing with senior (c-suite level) stakeholders is a must. As the most senior User Experience person within the business, you will be heavily involved with clients and communicating to the wider team, whilst reporting directly to the 2 founders. You’ll help grow the UX offering whilst working on a variety of different projects for different clients.

The candidate should be at Lead-level with significant experience as a strategic Senior/Lead UX Designer. It’s an end-to-end UX position but NOT an end-to-end Product Design role. Additional key experience and deliverables include:

  • B2B project experience is essential.
  • Significant experience producing core UX deliverables; user research, user flows, information architecture, wireframing etc.
  • Experience Strategy – understanding and defining business objectives, journey mapping, aligning users and stakeholders etc.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects that meet objectives within time and budget constraints.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Developing and implementing user research strategies and methodologies.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams such as product management, design, and engineering to integrate user insights and help grow the UX offering.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient with Sketch and/or Figma (they’re currently transitioning to Figma).
  • Agency experience (this is more of a bonus rather than essential).

There will be a 2x stage interview process (no task). If this sounds like a match for you, then please apply ASAP with your CV and portfolio to stand the best chance of getting an interview.
