This challenger bank has really managed to carve out a reputable name within the market and has redefined what it feels like to work in finance. They strive for innovation and aim to provide the most honest and beneficial financial products in the market, with customers truly at the heart of their decision making.

This role will require you in their London office 2 days a week (ideally Tuesday and Thursday). Sorry, sponsorship is not being offered.

You’d be working for a bank with a strong and established design team. Looking for someone with around 5-7 years’ experience and end-to-end in terms of UX/UI processes and deliverables. The focus here is on the mobile app. It’s likely that you will be working on the payments section of the app, which has super-complicated payment journeys. So they need someone who has worked on a similar level of high complexity for a native app before.

This particular client is often big on visual creativity and portfolios which are quite attention grabbing. By that, I mean things like bold colours, slick finishes, micro interactions perhaps and beautifully laid out too – not half a page of writing then a couple of boxes. We need to show some design work that can stir up some emotion, whilst still conveying the right approach and rationale – discovery and user research, right through to high-fidelity prototypes/UI.

You’ll need end-to-end capability as a Product Designer but the key experience here is within native mobile apps (B2C ideally). They also need someone who can work with independence and is experienced in leveraging a Design System as well as being comfortable pushing it on, adding components etc. Other key experience includes working with stakeholders and being part of an embedded team. You’ll obviously need a portfolio which can demonstrate your true design craft too. Any commercial experience with FinTech is a bonus, but not essential. But you will definitely need good B2C product experience.

If this sounds like you then please apply ASAP with your CV & portfolio to stand the best chance of getting an interview!
