On a mission to transform one of the world’s most pollutive industries in Construction, this company is looking for a VP of Engineering to join them, with occasional visits to their London office.
Their product allows you to make an informed decision on cost, carbon and quality when constructing any building. After oversubscribing their Series A investment round, they need someone to join them who’s eager to help build a sustainable future.
As well as working in the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you’ll be taking the leadership of a 9-person (with a runway of expansion) team of engineers and data scientists, managing a budget of £1m+ in 2024. Though this is about technical leadership, you’ll need to have those people skills to work with the Senior Engineering Manager to create a culture of excellence and develop best practices.
Working with the SLT, you’ll have an eye on technology trends, opportunities, and threats ensuring that you take action on this where you can, all while maintaining alignment with business goals. You’ll also provide engineering thought leadership, ensuring the best technical landscape and approach.
You’ll be working closely with the Product and Commercial teams to align the engineering strategy with the product roadmap and vision, effectively communicating this to the wider engineering team. Working closely with your engineering team, you’ll provide technical oversight while supporting the overall system architecture, ensuring that you run a strong Agile culture that fosters best practices and bottom-up innovation.
