UI-focused Product Design Senior or Lead role, with a bank who are redefining what it feels like to work in finance.
This challenger bank has become one of the UK’s most loved places to work. They’ve carved out a reputable name within the market and have redefined what it feels like to work in finance. They strive for innovation and aim to provide the most honest and beneficial financial products in the market, with customers truly at the heart of their decision making.
The role would require you to be in a London office twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Sponsorship or more flexible working is not being offered. £80,000-£100,000 – possible for some flex, for the right person. They will consider both Senior and Lead level for this role.
This is a primarily hands-on role within one of the bank’s squads – they often change which squad you work on, so that people don’t get bored and ideas are kept fresh. Prior banking or fintech experience is a bonus but not essential. B2C experience and working as part of an embedded (in-house) team is essential!
The bank is actively embedding AI into design workflows – including building internal tools to handle repetitive tasks like reviewing component-level work for design system alignment and accessibility compliance. You’ll report to the Head of Design while part of an established design team. You’ll potentially line manage 1-2 other designers yourself if coming in at lead level.
The candidate:
- Previously held a Senior Product Design position within a B2C environment.
- Experience working as a Senior Designer within embedded product teams and influencing across disciplines.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, agile environments with hands-on delivery focus.
- Strong native mobile apps experience – evidenced in portfolio.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled design processes.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high quality UI/visual craft as well as process.
- Some experience managing 1-2 other designers (if aiming for lead-level).
