THE CLIENT
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established studio known for designing impactful services and driving meaningful change across public and private sector organisations - from transport and health to finance and government. There's currently a mix of other Service Design Mid-weights and Seniors, who all report to the Design Director. Currently 6-strong but aiming to get to double figures (including contractors) by next year. This is an opportunity to learn from more experienced designers and grow your Service Design profile through a range of projects you'll be supporting on.
THE ROLE
As a mid-weight Service Designer, you'll contribute to end-to-end design projects β from research and discovery to concept development and delivery. You'll work closely with the wider team to co-create better service experiences for users and organisations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and conducting user research
- Mapping customer journeys and identifying opportunity areas
- Designing and iterating service concepts
- Facilitating workshops and co-design sessions
- Producing service blueprints, design artefacts, and strategic insights
THE CANDIDATE
Previous experience as a Service Designer (at mid-weight level). Proficiency with service design methods and tools (e.g. journey mapping, service blueprints). Strong communicator and happy to work in agency-environment (bonus points if you have done before). Comfortable working with stakeholders, running workshops, and presenting work. Experience working in complex domains (e.g. public sector, finance, healthcare, mobility). You have a portfolio which shows your service design process and deliverables.
