We’re hiring a Head of Product Design/Founding Product Designer to take ownership of a high-growth digital product at a premium consumer brand undergoing a major transformation. This is not a management role. This is for someone who designs, ships, and moves metrics. You’ll be the first in-house product design hire, taking over from an external agency, and working alongside Product and Engineering to define and deliver the next phase of the digital experience – including a new mobile app and a replatformed ecommerce journey. 3-4 days a week in London office required. £100,000 - £120,000
THE ROLE
- You’ll operate as a hands-on design lead, responsible for both execution and direction.
- Designing and shipping end-to-end ecommerce experiences, with a focus on checkout, conversion, and revenue performance.
- Taking ownership of a mobile app build, from early direction through to launch.
- Building a design system from scratch to enable speed and consistency.
- Identifying friction in key journeys and fixing what’s impacting conversion and retention.
- Working closely with Product Managers – challenging roadmap decisions when needed.
- Collaborating with engineers to ship quickly and iterate continuously.
- Bridging brand and product – ensuring a high-quality, premium experience across all touchpoints.
This is a high-pace environment. You’ll be expected to ship regularly, learn from real usage, and improve continuously.
THE CANDIDATE
- Strong background in ecommerce or consumer products, with clear ownership of transactional journeys (especially checkout).
- Proven track record of improving commercial metrics – conversion, retention, revenue.
- Experience designing for mobile apps (iOS/Android) in production environments.
- Experience building or owning a design system from the ground up.
- Prior experience up to Principal/Head of (but hands-on) level.
Mindset & Approach
- Commercially minded – you think in terms of revenue impact, not just user experience.
- Bias to action – you ship, test, and iterate rather than over-planning.
- Comfortable working in startup-style environments with ambiguity and pace.
- Confident enough to challenge product decisions and influence direction.
- Hands-on and detail-oriented – you care about craft, but not at the expense of speed.
If this sounds like you, then please apply ASAP with your CV & PORTFOLIO to stand the best chance of getting an interview!
