> UI-focused Lead Product Designer role with a bank.
This challenger bank has become one of the UK’s most loved places to work. They’ve been able to to carve out a reputable name within the market and have redefined what it feels like to work in finance. They strive for innovation and aim to provide the most honest and beneficial financial products in the market, with customers truly at the heart of their decision making.
The role would require you into a London office twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) with potential for Wednesdays to be a required day in the office too, moving forward.

THE ROLE
This is a hands-on, leadership role focused on setting the design vision, principles, and processes for point-of-sale (POS) products. You’ll be improving experiences across all three customer types: merchants, suppliers, and end users, with a strong focus on high-quality UI design and shipping fast.
The bank is actively embedding AI into design workflows – including building internal tools to handle repetitive tasks like reviewing component-level work for design system alignment and accessibility compliance. This will allow you to focus on higher-value design and leadership contributions.
You’ll report to the Head of Design, and be part of the design leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design for POS lending, shaping the customer, supplier, and merchant experience
- Manage and mentor 1 Senior Product Designer (initially), with potential to grow the team
- Establish design foundations and iterate at speed (bi-weekly releases)
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across design, product, and engineering
- Elevate design quality and craft
- Occasional travel to office in North of England (~monthly) to work with the another team linked to the POS products
THE CANDIDATE
- Strong track record in UI and UX design within B2B2C environments (e.g., fintech, ecommerce, lending)
- Experience working as a Lead Designer within embedded product teams and influencing across disciplines
- Comfortable in fast-paced, agile environments with hands-on delivery focus
- Confident setting design principles and elevating design maturity
- Familiarity with AI-enabled design processes
- Strong portfolio demonstrating high quality UI craft as well as process
- Experience in lending or ecommerce is a bonus
