We’re working with a purpose‑led, direct‑to‑consumer subscription brand. With strong financial backing from a global parent company, they retain the energy, culture, and autonomy of an independent business – now entering an exciting new chapter of growth and innovation. After a recent restructure and refocus on the UK market, the company is investing in technology, marketing, and customer experience to drive retention and engagement. They’re now looking for a Lead Product Designer to guide the next evolution of their digital experience. The company also provides particularly good benefits as well as a bonus scheme.
THE ROLE
This is a hands‑on player–coach role: you’ll lead, mentor, and inspire a small but talented team of Product and Content Designers while remaining actively involved in design delivery and reporting to a Head of Design. You’ll play a key role in defining how customers experience the brand across multiple digital touchpoints – from onboarding and personalisation journeys to eCommerce flows and subscription management. Working in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment, you’ll help shape strategy, champion customer insight, and elevate design quality at scale.
You’ll also…
- Partner with Product, Engineering, and Research to define and deliver customer‑focused experiences.
- Use data and insight to guide and validate design decisions.
- Champion the design vision and evolve the design system and documentation.
- Own end‑to‑end design across multiple product areas.
- Lead discovery, journey mapping, and prototyping to test and refine solutions.
- Support CMS rollout and balance user needs with commercial goals in an agile environment.
THE CANDIDATE
- 7+ years of product design experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Proven experience in eCommerce or subscription-based products (non‑negotiable).
- A portfolio that demonstrates end‑to‑end thinking, clear individual contributions, and measurable results.
- Hands‑on expertise in Figma and experience managing or developing design systems.
- Comfortable balancing multiple product areas simultaneously.
- Recent embedded experience as part of an in‑house product team (rather than agency or freelance focussed).
- Experience with tools like Zeroheight or similar documentation systems.
- Exposure to larger consumer brands or scaled D2C environments.
