This is an exceptional opportunity to join a cutting-edge FinTech at a genuinely formative stage. The company is only around 10 people, has raised multiple millions in seed funding and already has a healthy base of live customers. Its technology has the potential to change how people pay. You’ll help shape and launch products spanning payment hardware, kiosks, native apps and merchant software, with the freedom and responsibility that only comes with joining this early.

This isn’t a conventional Product role. You won’t simply decide what gets built and hand it over to Engineering. You’ll take fuzzy problems through to working products, using AI to prototype, test, build and ship.

You’ll become the first dedicated Product hire and take real ownership of how products are defined, prioritised, built and launched. Working directly with the founders, customers and engineers, you’ll combine strong product judgement with genuine technical ability. The key word is building. They need someone who enjoys getting into the detail of how products actually work, can hold their own in technical conversations and is excited by the opportunity to ship real functionality themselves.

What you’ll own:

  • The roadmap — turning commercial priorities, customer needs and technical realities into a clear, sequenced plan across digital products, software and payment hardware.
  • 0–1 product development — taking new ideas from an ambiguous problem through discovery, prototyping, validation and launch.
  • The build — using AI to prototype and ship real features, including portal interfaces, internal tools and integration work.
  • Technical product ownership — working closely with engineers on APIs, architecture, system design and device-level trade-offs.
  • Clear requirements — translating ideas into sharp specifications, edge cases and acceptance criteria so the team can move quickly without unnecessary rework.
  • Delivery from end to end — owning the backlog, resolving blockers and driving products all the way into the hands of real customers.
  • External integrations — scoping work with payment processors, kiosk providers and other technology partners into clean, shippable pieces.

What they’re looking for:

  • They are not looking for someone with 10+ years of experience or a Product leader who mainly operates at a strategic level. The sweet spot is an ambitious, technically fluent builder at a relatively early stage in their career who is ready to take on significant ownership.
  • Roughly 2–5 years’ total experience, ideally including time as a full-stack engineer before moving into Product.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL and JavaScript, across front-end or back-end development.
  • The ability to read a schema, query structured databases and confidently understand APIs, systems and integrations.
  • Evidence of taking products from 0–1 and shipping them to real customers.
  • Fluency with AI tools and genuine examples of using them to prototype, build, iterate and ship at pace.
  • Strong product judgement: knowing what to build, what not to build and how to prioritise ruthlessly.
  • The confidence to work directly with founders and engineers, combined with the humility and curiosity needed in a small team.
  • A proactive, hands-on mindset and the desire to take autonomy before it is offered.

Your background might look like:

  • A former full-stack engineer who has moved into Product Management.
  • A technical Product Owner ready to step into broader end-to-end product ownership.
  • A Product Manager with genuine coding experience and a strong portfolio of side projects.
  • Someone from an early-stage startup who has personally helped take products from concept to launch.
  • An AI-native product builder whose job title does not yet fully describe what they can do.

Why join?

  • Founding-level ownership without needing to arrive with a decade of management experience.
  • The chance to define a new kind of Product role at the intersection of product thinking, software engineering and AI.
  • A rare product surface spanning digital experiences, physical hardware, payments and real-world customer environments.
  • Direct access to the founders and the ability to see your work reach live customers in weeks rather than quarters.
  • A salary of £50,000–£80,000 +, plus meaningful equity, with some flexibility for an exceptional candidate.

Location and working style:

The team is based near Tower Bridge and would ideally like someone in the office around four days a week, although this is not completely rigid. They care most about finding the right person and can be flexible where needed.

Interested? If this sounds like you, we would love to see what you have been building and shipping. A CV is useful, but links to products, side projects, code or prototypes will tell us far more.
