Product Manager – Consumer Apps

Department: Product

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Remote

Reporting To: SVP, Payments Products

Description

The ZBD app lets users jump into a universe of games and apps, connect with friends and earn Bitcoin while having fun. ZBD also empowers developers to embed bitcoin payments into video games and applications, such as podcasting and music streaming. ZBD’s unique proposition enables these partner developers to better monetise their games and apps by allowing users to receive micro-rewards for actions taken in the game or app. ZBD provides this functionality by leveraging Bitcoin and the Lightning Network protocol.

As we grow, we’re expanding the ZBD app from a rewards-first experience into a more comprehensive consumer offering. Our vision is to offer users a fun, engaging, and secure way to manage value — combining rewards, embedded offers, and a powerful wallet into a single, mobile-first experience.

We’re looking for a Product Manager to lead the evolution of the ZBD app. You’ll own the core user experience and the first-party offerwall, and help us expand our offering into payments and beyond. You\’ll also play a critical role in partnering across engineering, compliance, and business development to ensure that our product is scalable, secure, and commercially impactful.

The business comprises almost 70 employees – across development, marketing, compliance, operations, technology, customer success and customer support – from Los Angeles to New York, London, Amsterdam and São Paulo.

ZBD is a fully remote company. We hire, retain and develop the best talent from around the world, wherever s/he/they may choose to live. As a result, every member of the ZBD team must demonstrate an ability to work independently and thrive in a remote environment.

Come join us!

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for the ZBD consumer mobile app, including onboarding, wallet, offerwall, and embedded finance features
  • Lead product discovery and synthesize user research, analytics, partner feedback, and internal insights to evolve the app from rewards-first to a full personal finance experience
  • Drive end-to-end feature development — from discovery and spec writing to QA, release, and post-launch iteration
  • Manage App Store / Play Store submissions, including ASO, metadata, release timelines, and compliance
  • Troubleshoot reward fulfillment issues and coordinate resolution of offerwall bugs, postback errors, and partner escalations
  • Act as a point of escalation for support and internal teams to resolve complex app or reward-related issues
  • Partner with Business Development to evaluate and integrate embedded finance partnerships (e.g. card offers, stored value, financial products), aligning with monetization strategy
  • Optimize conversion, engagement, and retention through A/B testing, funnel analysis, and gamification
  • Work closely with Ad Ops to improve offerwall performance, trust, and fraud resistance
  • Define product KPIs and partner with Engineering and Analytics to track, analyze, interpret, and act on product performance data
  • Assess and communicate downstream implications of product decisions, including support overhead, compliance risk, fraud potential, and operational complexity
  • Help shape the user journey across onboarding, funding, rewards, and spending optimizing for usability, monetization, and lifetime value
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Biz Dev to align messaging, acquisition channels, and product positioning
  • Champion the user perspective across the product lifecycle with empathy, curiosity, and a test-and-learn mindset

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 4-6 years of product management experience in building consumer-facing apps
  • Strong UX and product instincts with a track record of driving mobile engagement and growth
  • Comfortable switching between hands-on execution (e.g. ticket writing, QA coordination) and strategic roadmap thinking
  • Technically fluent, experienced in collaborating with engineers on APIs, postbacks, or integration logic
  • Experience working with offerwalls, ad tech, or monetization infrastructure preferred
  • Operationally minded: you drive QA, launch readiness, and issue resolution across stakeholders
  • Data-driven mindset with hands-on experience designing and executing A/B tests
  • Fluency with analytics and attribution platforms (e.g. Mixpanel, Firebase, AppsFlyer) and experimentation frameworks
  • Excellent communicator with cross-functional experience across Design, Engineering, Growth, and Operations
  • Strong systems thinker: balances technical complexity, user experience, and operational scalability
  • Familiarity with Bitcoin and the Lightning Network, or a strong interest in learning quickly
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, startup environments with distributed teams

Preferred Skills

  • Experience building or optimizing mobile reward, loyalty, or gamified user experiences.
  • Background in mobile app monetization, user acquisition, or ad tech/offerwall ecosystems
  • Understanding of payment flows, stored value systems, or regulatory frameworks for consumer finance
  • Familiarity with SQL, Supabase, or workflow automation platforms like Retool
  • Passion for creating intuitive, delightful user journeys that balance engagement and integrity
